Seed cookies

Fry the seeds on a dry pan until lightly browned. Let them cool a bit and then grind them in a food processor or blender.

The flour is mixed with baking powder, and possibly flax flour. As I said, I didn't have flour, but you can grind wheat flakes and flax seeds very finely.

In a bowl, mix the soft butter with the sugar, add the egg and mix a little more (with the mixer). Add the vanilla, ground seeds, flour mixture and oatmeal.

Mix the composition well, first with a spatula / spoon and then with your hands. Don't be afraid if the composition is coarse and a little sticky, that's how it should be.

Take a little dough in your hands and form the biscuits in any shape you like. Leave them in the preheated oven at 180 degrees, for 25-30 minutes, until the edges start to brown better.

Let them cool. Then take them out of the pan and enjoy ... :)

Eggplant cookies with butter and raisins

Preparation time 18 minutes

Cooking time 14 minutes

Ingredients

  • 150 g egg whites
  • 150 g of crystal sugar (cough) or powder
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • 200 g butter
  • 200 g flour
  • 200 g raisins

PREPARATION
1. Remove the butter from the fridge to soften at least an hour before cooking.
2. Spread baking paper in the stove tray. Allow the oven to heat over low heat (130 degrees / 2.5-3 degree in the 8-stage gas oven) without a pan, of course.
3. In a clean, degreased bowl, mix the egg whites and salt powder until they form strong peaks.
4. Then add the sugar, vanilla sugar and continue to mix until it forms like a glossy meringue (2-3 minutes), not to feel the unmelted sugar when you taste it.
5. The butter should be soft at room temperature and add chopped or melted pieces if it is still hard and you will mix it manually, with the aim even with movements from bottom to top so as not to lose air bubbles.
6. Add all the flour and raisins and mix by hand with a fork or a spatula.
7. Apply cookies of 2.5-3 cm (which are still growing), leave a large space between them at least 3 cm, with a spoon.

How to bake cookies in a gas oven and how in an electric one?

5. At the classic gas stove, bake them for 15-20-25 minutes (watch!), First at 130 degrees, the interval is very variable, on the upper stage of the stove, on low heat (stage 3 or 3, 5 out of 8 steps) but you can also try in the middle, because the conditions vary a lot, from one oven to another. In modern electric ovens, it is set at 175 degrees (baking down, up and ventilation) on the middle bearing for a maximum of 10-15 minutes, depending on their size. After the first 5 minutes you can reduce the heat to 150 degrees, if they brown too quickly. I recommend the constant (somewhat) in their application, in size, to bake evenly, but they are not pretentious at all.
6. Remove them all with paper on a grill (I use the oven grill placed over the grill of the hob). You let them cool just enough to grab them with your free hand and they normally come off extremely easily, because they have butter in their composition.

7. They are the type of cookies that keep for a long time, without problems, in a tightly closed box.

Chia seed caviar

The attic with goodies has long been one of my favorite blogs. First I was drawn to the name, then I liked the recipes, their stories and the whole atmosphere of this blog.

I was very happy when Ioana, the host of this month's Secret Challenge, distributed the Attic to me as a source of inspiration. I kept rummaging through and found goodies over goodies presented cheerfully, appetizingly and with humor. I stopped at one recipe at a time, thinking and changing my mind I don't know how many times.

Last week I had just bought a bag of chia seeds for my breakfast cereal mix when I saw a new recipe in Attic: caviar from chia seeds. By the way, we're still fasting, so this recipe just went down well.

Ever since I discovered chia seeds for almost half a year, they have been a staple of my breakfast menu, but I have never prepared them in caviar form.

Tender popcorn with popcorn from seeds and cheese

Tender popcorn with popcorn from seeds and cheese. There are cakes with cow's cheese, without yeast or baking powder, which grow when baked from approx. 1 cm to 4 cm! Pogacele are tender, leafy, beautifully decorated and very strong.

We really like pogacele and salatele, rarely a weekend passes in which not to do. We have a lot of published recipes but nothing prevents me from developing new ones.

Surely you have already tried girlfriends the savages of great-grandmother Buia, jumper with jumari or many other recipes for the pies and salads you find here.

If it is about breaded or salted with cottage cheese dough, I definitely make 2 servings from the start. The dough, wrapped in transparent foil, lasts 3-4 days in the refrigerator, and not only does it last, but the result is even more spectacular. Obviously, I also made 2 servings for these pogacele.

If you live abroad and do not know what cheese to buy or if you prefer to make your own cottage cheese at home you can follow this recipe.

Out of a portion comes out about 50 tender pomace with popcorn seeds, cut to form 3.5 cm.
