Cannelloni with chicken and spinach

Cannelloni with chicken and spinach

Prepare the pancakes

Mix all the ingredients and fry in the pan like normal pancakes.

Prepare the filling

Cut the onion and fry it together with the garlic and pepper. You don't need to cut them very small, after that they have to be chopped anyway. If you use the mince and will not chop it afterwards, then cut the vegetables as small as possible. Over the hardened vegetables, add salt, pepper, oregano and thyme and then the chicken and fry a little until it starts to brown.

Meanwhile, boil the spinach with a pinch of salt.

When the chicken has browned, put it in a bowl and chop it with a blender until it becomes a paste.

Add over the meat, an egg and boiled spinach and mix well.

Fill the pancakes with the prepared composition and roll so that the edges are also inserted inside.

We also need 100 g of tomato sauce and 75 g of grated cheese mixed with 25 g of Parmesan cheese.

In a tray put a little tomato sauce on its bottom so that the cannelloni do not stick. Place the cannelloni next to each other over the sauce, and pour the rest of the tomato sauce over them so that they cover the whole surface well.

Finally, add the grated cheese mixed with Parmesan cheese over the tomato sauce.

Put in the preheated oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes or until the cheese on top is browned.

Florentine chicken with spinach, sour cream, garlic and parmesan - pan-fried

Florentine chicken with spinach, sour cream, garlic and parmesan - pan-fried. Chicken or turkey breast with spinach and creamy cream sauce. Chicken food with delicious sauce. Chicken breast recipes. Recipes with turkey breast. Fast food recipes in 20 minutes.

I am a big fan of spinach and I use it in many recipes (I leave them at the end). Either it's fresh spinach or frozen. This Florentine chicken with spinach and creamy cream sauce is an Italian-American dish ("florentine chicken with creamy sauce”) And brings together ingredients that go very well with each other, reminding me of the spinach puree I grew up with. Transylvanian spinach food is with milk and garlic - the recipe here. Most often we eat it with skewers, scrambled eggs or meatballs.

In the case of this Florentine chicken I used sweet cream for cream (natural, not vegetable!), Green garlic and fresh spinach. In the extra season we use old garlic and frozen spinach. Poultry can be both chicken (breast or boneless thighs) and turkey (breast). Being a quick recipe you will see that the cooking is short and the result is fabulous.

From the quantities below are 4-5 servings of Florentine chicken with spinach, sour cream, garlic and parmesan.

Cannelloni with chicken and spinach - Recipes

Hi! Today we make Spinach with Chicken, a simple, tasty and healthy recipe. We all know that spinach contains a lot of iron and many other vitamins, minerals and all sorts of healthy shit. But let's be serious, we don't cook it because it's healthy, but because we like the taste. Not? I mean, I can't convince myself to eat a lot of things that I don't like just because they are healthy (sea buckthorn, 2 liters of water a day, beets, celery, etc., we all have them).

Spinach with chicken

Let me tell you one more thing about spinach: I hate to clean and wash the fresh one, it takes 1000 years every time. I know it's better fresh and tastier and rainbows come out every time we buy local products instead of corporate ones. But that's it! I stayed for 3 hours one day to clean two bags of spinach from which I made a bowl of food. A little bad!

That being said, I decided to make my life easier and use frozen spinach in food and baby spinach in salads. Easy peasy!

My spinach is with browned chicken in the pan. You can also make it with boiled chicken. Obviously, the browned chicken is tastier and the boiled one has a whitish color (or at least that's what my mother used to look like when I was little and I was seriously grumpy). Your choice!

Ingredients

  • spinach - 600 grams, frozen / fresh
  • chicken breast - 300 grams, boned
  • tomato juice - 70 ml
  • olive oil - 50 ml
  • dill - 1 link
  • onion - 2 pieces
  • pepper - to taste
  • garlic - 4 puppies
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • paprika - to taste

Instructions

  • Cut the chicken breast into cubes. I bought chicken breast strips so it went faster.

  • The cubes are seasoned with pepper, paprika and salt. You can also use other spices.
  • I cooked in two pans to make them go faster, but you can make them one at a time. I divided the olive oil between the two pans and heated it. In one I put the chicken and let it brown for 20 minutes until it was well penetrated and in the other I hardened the finely chopped onion for 10 minutes.
  • After the onion is ready, add the spinach and cook for 15 minutes. The less you cook the spinach, the more intense the green color remains.

  • Put the browned chicken cubes over the spinach together with the tomato juice, salt, pepper, garlic cloves passed through the press. Mix everything and leave on the fire for another 10 minutes. Taste to make sure it is to your taste.

  • Turn off the heat and add the finely chopped dill. Allow to cool slightly and serve!
