Poppy pie

1. Make a mayonnaise from warm milk, yeast, sugar, vanilla sugar and 3-4 tablespoons of flour. Let rise for 15 min.

Assembly:

1. Roll out a sheet of dough to the dimensions of 75 x 33 cm.

2. Place 1/2 of the poppy seed filling over the dough sheet and even out.

3. After you have rolled the dough sheet and it has become like a roll, turn it to form a huge snail.

4. Put the snail in a round shape with a diameter of 25 cm, grease it with egg and milk and prick it with a fork.

5. Bake at 170 ° C for 55 min.

Dough preparation: Mix all the ingredients of the dough lightly with your fingers. Stir until an elastic, homogeneous dough results, which does not stick to the fingers or the walls of the bowl.

Put the dough in a plastic bag greased with oil or cover it with a plate. Let it rest for an hour, during which time the gluten networks are formed. During this time, mix the poppy seeds with the powdered sugar in a bowl, drain the cherries from the compote and grate the apples.

On a rectangular table we put a tablecloth or a clean sheet (which we will then use for such purposes), sprinkle with flour and take the dough out of the plastic bag. With the rolling pin, roll out the dough into a thin sheet,

sheet that we later start to draw, with care and patience, walking around the table. We try not to break the dough and spread it as thin as possible. As far as I know, this dough should be able to read the newspaper. I couldn't stretch my dough so thin, but for the first time I was happy with the result. My table in the kitchen is 6 people, so in no case could I spread the dough so that it hangs easily over the table as it would be normal. If the edges of the dough are thicker, cut them so that they do not roll in the pie / strudel, later they will remain unripe inside. After the sheet is stretched, it must be worked fast enough so that it does not dry out, as it is extremely thin. Sprinkle the poppy seeds evenly mixed with powdered sugar,

apples shaved from place to place and cherries.

With the help of the tablecloth we will run the strudel as tight as possible. From this dough we will get a strudel of about one meter.

Cut the strudel in half and with the help of a piece of baking paper folded in half, transfer the strudel from the table to the stove tray in which we also placed baking paper.

Grease the strudel with plenty of oil and bake it in a hot oven at 190-200 & # 176C until it browns on the surface. Let the strudel cool, then cut it with a sharp knife.


Recipes step by step

I prepared first filling. I needed:
- 200 g mac
- 500 ml of milk:
- 200 g sugar
- 100 g raisins
