Peel the onion, garlic and vegetables (peppers, roots and potatoes) and wash them well with cold water. We also wash the meat and tomatoes well.
We cut the onion and the faithful peppers (julienne) and we give the roots (the carrot and the parsley) through the large grater. We cut the tomatoes into small cubes, as well as the meat and potatoes.
Pour enough oil (3-4 tablespoons) into a pan and heat it well. Saute the vegetables together, first put the onion and leave it until it softens, about 3 minutes, then add the peppers, leave for 2-3 minutes and then the roots, also, about 3 minutes. When they are ready, add the tomatoes and leave until the juice left by them decreases a little, not more than 5 minutes.
At this point, add the meat and leave until lightly browned. I used boneless pork chops.
Add the potatoes and add just enough water to contain them (2-3 cups of water!). Put the lid on the pan and let it simmer, on the right heat, for about 20-25 minutes. Turn off the heat and season with salt, ground pepper and your favorite spices. And for an extra flavor, at this moment we add the crushed garlic! I used a mixture of herbs and paprika and a mixture of herbs and dill, from DELIKAT. I didn't add parsley or dill, finely chopped, but if you like, you can do it.
Serve hot, with pickles, or with your favorite salad.
Cut the potatoes and meat into cubes as large as you want.
Use whatever spices you like and the stew will be to your taste.
You can serve the stew with salad or any kind of pickles.
Use any herbs you like: oregano, cumin ...
Instead of a mixture of herbs and paprika from DELIKAT, you can use paprika or chilli if you want.
Instead of a mixture of herbs and dill from DELIKAT, put freshly chopped parsley or dill, if you like.
It goes well with Hot & Spicy spices!
If you do not have fresh parsley or dill, then you can use dried parsley or dill.
If you do not have fresh tomatoes or canned tomato pulp, you can use broth or tomato juice.
