Stewed cabbage

We wash the cabbage, cut it in half and then chop it.

We clean the onion, wash it and chop it as small as possible.

Put the oil in a pan and heat the onion together with the pancetta. Add the cabbage well drained of the juice and mix with a wooden spoon.

Add hot water to cover the cabbage, bay leaves, knorr, salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a simmer.

When the cabbage has become soft, add the tomato juice and mix. Let it cook for another 15 minutes.

Serve hot with hot polenta :)
