Cakes without kneading

For the filling:

Mix the ground walnuts with the sugar, cocoa and beaten egg whites, then add the hot milk and mix to blend.

Dough preparation:

1. Sift the flour and put it in a bowl, then make a "hole" in the middle in which you put the yeast, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2-3 tablespoons of warm milk. Leave to rise for 10 minutes in a warm place, away from currents.

2. Add eggs (2 whole and one yolk), sugar, salt, melted butter, lemon essence and milk, then mix with a spoon until you get an elastic dough.

3. Cover the bowl with a towel (or cling film) and let it rise until it doubles in volume.

4. Remove the dough on the table powdered with flour and divide it into four parts.

5. Lay out each sheet in a rectangular shape with a thickness of ~ 0.5 cm and a length depending on the shape you have.

6. Put the walnut filling on each sheet, then roll lengthwise. Knit 2 rolls to get a cake (see photo below), then place them in trays lined with baking paper and greased with a little butter. in trays for 15-20 minutes before putting them in the oven.

7. Bake in the preheated oven on the right heat for ~ 40 minutes until golden brown on top.

8. After the cake is baked, leave it for 5 minutes, then "grease" it with beaten egg white and sprinkle sugar on top.

9. Cut the cake only after it has cooled very well!

Cozonac without turmoil

The more delicious the cake is, the longer it can take to prepare it. If you want a quick, no-frills recipe, this is perfect.

Cozonac is a type of sweet bread specific to Romania, the Republic of Moldova and Bulgaria. It is prepared for the big holidays & # 8211 Easter, Christmas, New Year & # 8211 and sometimes for birthdays.

To prepare cake without kneading, you need the ingredients for a classic cake, but the technique involves a little less effort on your part.

  1. A few hours before, make sure you take all the ingredients out of the fridge to be at room temperature.
  2. Separate the egg whites from the yolks of 5 eggs. Beat the egg whites with half the amount of sugar, walnuts and cocoa powder.
  3. Separately, sift the flour. Make a hole in the center and put the yeast, warm milk and two tablespoons of sugar inside.
  4. As the yeast activates, melt the butter for about 10 minutes. Then add the separated yolks, the remaining sugar, the rum essence, the grated peel, the oil, a pinch of salt and the melted butter over the flour, mixing everything very well.
  5. The resulting dough must be elastic. Do not knead, but cover with foil or a kitchen towel and leave in a warm place for an hour.
  6. When ready, divide the dough into four sheets, spread them and grease them with the filling of walnuts and cocoa and raisins, then roll them. Then, we weave two such rolls and put them in a tray lined with baking paper.
  7. We leave both cozonacs for another hour, in order to increase the room temperature. Then, grease them with beaten egg and put them in the preheated oven at 180 degrees.
  8. The cozonacs are ready after about 40-50 minutes. Optionally, you can choose to powder them with sugar at the end.

Fluffy cake without kneading & # 8211 a recipe recommended for those who do not have & # 8220TIMP & # 8221, but want homemade desserts. The cake is very good & # 8211 fluffy, fragrant and the walnut filling gives it more goodness.

Filling & # 8211 ground walnuts are mixed with powdered sugar, grated lemon peel, vanilla sugar and whipped egg whites.

It took & # 8211 Warm milk mixes well with sugar and yeast.

We mix the eggs with lemon juice, vanilla sugar and salt.

The two compositions mix well with grated lemon peel, melted and cooled butter + oil.

Sift the flour into a larger bowl then add the composition formed above.

Mix until incorporated and obtain a homogeneous dough.

The obtained dough is put in a bowl greased with a little oil.

Cover with cling film and put up (in a warm place) until it doubles in volume, for me it was ready in an hour and 30 minutes.

Put it in the fridge until the next day, I kept it for 14 hours.

On the worktop and dusted with flour I placed the dough. I dusted it with flour and spread it in a rectangular sheet of about 20 & # 21530 cm.

Add the filling on the whole surface and roll tightly.

The formed roll is placed in a greased tray lined with baking paper.

Put it back in a warm place and let it simmer until it doubles in volume (about 1 hour).

Grease with beaten egg and sprinkle with raw sugar.

Place in the preheated oven at 180C and bake for 25-30 minutes.

The cake is left to cool in the tray and then portioned into suitable slices.


Necessary fluffy cake recipe, prepared without kneading:

  • 1 kg flour 000, for two cakes
  • 6 eggs
  • 100 gr butter
  • 4-5 tablespoons oil
  • 250-350 gr. sugar or more, depending on how sweet you prefer the cake
  • 200 ml of milk
  • raisins, shit, mac
  • 3-4 tablespoons of cocoa or more, according to each person's preference
  • rum essence for soaking raisins
  • 3 sachets of vanilla sugar & # 8211 are not required, I use them for a faint vanilla flavor
  • half a small cube of yeast
  • lemon or orange peel, or combined


Method of preparation

2. Heat the milk and add the sugar, salt, vanilla sugar, butter and yeast.

3. Stir continuously until the sugar and yeast dissolve completely. Then pour the flour and continue to mix until the mixture is homogeneous. Cover the bowl with a clean towel and leave the dough to rise for an hour. You know that the dough is good to fill and put in the tray when it doubles in shape.

4. Then fill the dough to the shape you want your cake to have. Put it on the fire in the preheated oven, and cover the tray with aluminum foil. Grease the cake with a little egg yolk for shine. It's ready in 30-40 minutes! Good appetite!
