Wholemeal bread and flax seeds

I highly recommend this healthy bread with whole wheat flour and flax seeds.

  • 500 gr whole wheat flour
  • 3 tablespoons flax seeds
  • 350-370 ml water
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 sachet of dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon grated sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Preparation time: less than 120 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Wholemeal bread and flax seeds:

Put the yeast in 100 ml of warm water (take 350 ml) mixed with sugar and leave to rise for 10 minutes.

We mix the flour with the salt and flax seeds. Pour the leavened yeast over the flour and knead by hand, gradually adding the rest of the warm water until you incorporate all the flour and you get a dough that no longer sticks to your fingers. Add the oil at the end and knead for a few more minutes.

Cover the bowl with a towel and place in a warm place away from drafts for approx. one hour.

Divide the dough into 7 equal parts and a larger one. Form balls with a hand greased with a little oil. Place the balls in a rotten pan greased with oil and leave to rise for another 20 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 degrees for about 30-35 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let cool then remove from the pan on a kitchen towel.
